This critical leadership role within the MSEN (Mechanical Systems, Externals and Nacelles) Module Center is responsible for the leadership and management of the Product Cost reduction efforts â€" with primary focus on the NGPF and F135 engine models. You will be responsible for managing the cost program / execution plan to achieve the aggressive cost targets to drive down our engine cost and will lead operations, engineering & supply chain teams to effectively manage existing product cost reduction projects, while building a robust pipeline of ideas. You will be responsible for ensuring current projects are on track to plan and managing the overall cost program through development / continuous improvement of standard work. You will be responsible for the weekly and monthly data reviews and driving the entire organization to hold schedule and meet commitments. You will also put presentations together that show our strategic plans, status them and provide updates to senior P&W leadership.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
ï,§ Program management of MSEN cost reduction plan

  • Manage cost reduction projects to ensure timely closure between strategic sourcing, engineering, value streams and transitions
  • Estimate and project cost reduction savings for each engine program
  • Ensure data accuracy and alignment
  • ï,§ Work with Finance, Engineering, Sourcing, Value Streams and Industrial/Transitions teams to ensure targets are known, tasks to hit cost targets are progressing and risks/opportunities are effectively managed
  • ï,§ Craft & continuously improve standard work to ensure cost reduction process is efficient and effective
  • ï,§ Track and manage budget requirements to ensure internal costs are on track and projects are supported appropriately
  • You must be detail and results oriented with good analytical skills, able to meet commitments, and balance to resolve conflicting priorities. Understanding strategic and business implications and working to provide solutions will be critical.
  • You must have demonstrated experience working with executive level management and be a high energy - dynamic individual who strives for continuous improvement.
  • Final job grade will be determined based on the experience and qualifications of the candidate selected.
Experience/Qualifications Basic Requirements:
  • ï,§ Bachelorâ€s Degree in Finance, Operations, Engineering or Business
  • ï,§ 7+ years of leadership experience in Program Management, Operations, Engineering or Finance
  • ï,§ US Person or Citizen
  • ï,§ ACE Associate or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

Preferred Requirements:
  • ï,§ Master's Degree
  • ï,§ 5+ years of leadership experience in Program Management, Operations, Engineering or Finance
  • ï,§ Team player with good communication skills
  • ï,§ Ambitious and detailed, project management oriented
  • ï,§ Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • ï,§ ACE Practioner or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
  • ï,§ Ability to meet commitments, balance and resolve conflicting priorities
  • ï,§ Understands strategic and business implications and works to provide best P&W solutions
  • ï,§ Extensive proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
  • ï,§ MRP/SAP experience
  • High energy, dynamic individual who strives for continuous improvement
  • Ability to create positive relationships and craft clear communications
  • Highly motivated and a self-starter with a strong desire to succeed and pursue continued growth and developmental opportunities
  • Results focused work ethic to resolve issues in a timely manner
