Pratt & Whitneyâ€s (P&W) Digital Technology (DT) team is seeking a hardworking, highly motivated individual with strong project management skills to provide overall support for our EH&S, HR and Communications technical solutions. You will be responsible for business and technical systems management, DT infrastructure services oversight, and project execution management for ERP (SAP) and web applications. You will work with core DT disciplines, third party server providers, and internal customers to ensure that the overall IT needs and objectives of the business are met.

In this role, you will have the use your technical background to develop solutions to complex issues and recommend strategic changes to our landscape that will improve reliability and accuracy of existing applications and processes. This position will require a high degree of collaboration across different teams to develop and execute DT solutions.

To be successful in this position, you assume ownership of digital technology projects by combining business analyst and project manager responsibilities while working with our customers, partners, and the digital team to build and deliver new solutions to meet Pratt & Whitneyâ€s EH&S, HR and Communications application needs. Execution of projects will include the use of internal and external resources to meet business partner requirements.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Work with key business leaders to understand specific DT requirements
  • Translate customer requirements into a solution design
  • Understand key applications usage for the business and serve as liaison to subject matter experts
  • Provide technical and functional expertise to ensure solutions meet business objectives, are reliable and scalable
  • Manage project schedules, budget and resources to meet business requirements in a timely and cost effective manner
  • Work with other DT disciplines to ensure coordinated project delivery to meet business priorities
  • Work with P&W and third party resources to develop applications that support the business objectives
  • Ensure audit compliance by documenting DT processes and procedures
  • Streamline business workflow processes and develop effective technology
  • Develop functional/technical documentation
  • Ensure production applications meet agreed upon service level expectations
  • Facilitate the components of the DT software development life cycle (SDLC) process


Education / Certifications:
  • Bachelorâ€s Degree (required). Preferred fields include Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related business discipline
  • Project Management Certification desired


Basic Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizen (required due to Government contractual requirements)
  • Bachelorâ€s Degree (required). Preferred fields of study include Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems or related business discipline
  • 3+ years of project management experience leading small to medium sized projects within a corporate environment


Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of combined software development, program or project management, and business systems experience within an aerospace manufacturing environment
  • Certified project manager (CAPM, CSM, etc.) with demonstrated proficiency of Waterfall and Agile software development lifecycle (SDLC) project management methodologies
  • Prior experience with Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tools, such as Primavera and Planview
  • Experience with content management systems, such as SiteCore
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP
  • Strong project management capability and ability to lead and manage complex cross functional, multidiscipline projects
  • Ability to learn, understand and interpret business processes; act in partnership with the business; and communicate effectively with management
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work laterally and engage others to achieve success
  • Ability to communicate business needs, interpret high level business requirements, and convey complex technical concepts to business customers/non-IT business professionals, technology teams, and support teams
  • Superb communication skills, written and verbal, with ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner across various levels of the organization
  • Good communication skills, work ethic and a high level of personal integrity and accountability
  • Results oriented with intense focus on success and achievement despite obstacles both within and outside of direct control
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and take challenging assignments to grow experience
  • Highly self-directed and able to learn quickly with a solid ability to drive and deliver results

  • Six-Sigma, Continuous Improvement, or Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Associate Certification is preferred along with a proven track record of cost savings and continuous improvement accomplishments
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
