We have a rare opportunity for a hardworking IT Desktop/Help Desk Support Analyst based in our East Hartford, CT headquarters.

Responsibilities include:

  • Hands-on management of desktop support activities to include: Imaging, hardware and software troubleshooting, hardware deploying and refresh
  • Maintaining inventory spare parts where needed, and ordering of new workstations and other needed equipment
  • Hands-on printer management to include: Configuring print queues and ports, troubleshooting, and deployment
  • User account creation and password reset
  • First line Help desk support
  • Trouble-shooting
  • Handling smaller projects or parts of larger projects
Basic Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizen (required due to Government contractual requirements)
  • Associate's Degree required. Preferred fields of study are Information Technology, Systems Administration, Networking or any related technology field
  • You have at least 1 years of experience working in a technical environment with validated desktop, server, network, systems administration, troubleshooting, implementation, excellent customer facing skills and strategic analysis skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Active Security Clearance is required as a condition of employment for this position
  • Bachelor Degree preferred
  • Desired certifications: Security+, A+, Network+, MCSA/E, or equivalent
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows 7 and Windows 10, OS imaging, installation, configuring, and support & troubleshooting
  • Application installs
  • General Network networking knowledge, TCP/IP, DHCP, and DN
  • Familiar with VOIP technology for phone support
  • Printer, Video Teleconferencing & general computing peripheral support, setup and troubleshooting
  • Experienced with documenting standard-work and process development, root cause corrective action
  • Ability to successfully handle multiple projects and perform with high energy in a fast paced environment.
  • Highly self-directed and able to learn quickly and adapt to changing business needs
  • Strong analytical skills, demonstrated organizational and leadership skills, with a history of teamwork, adaptability, innovation and initiative used to consistently meet deadlines and commitment dates
  • Superb interpersonal skills, with excellent judgment and professional maturity
  • You have an interest and ability to learn new technologies and take on new projects that allow for professional growth
  • Expert verbal and written communicator
  • Proven effective utilization of Six-Sigma, Continuous Improvement, or Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) and a history of driving process improvements. Associate Certification is strongly preferred.
  • You're a dynamic problem solver with the ability to craft solutions to everyday challenges with creative new ideas
  • Self-starter and ability to work with a minimum supervision
  • You are comfortable working with Microsoft Office Suite to include: Outlook, PowerPoint, Vision and Lync from an installation, configuration and troubleshooting perspective. SAP experience strongly preferred
