The Product Delivery Center is in need of a Production Tooling Cell Leader. In this role you will lead a group of hourly associates dedicated to ensuring the readiness of production tooling for both Commercial & Military engine programs. In addition you will develop standards and processes for the ordering, calibration, and maintenance of production tooling. As the tooling lead you will work closely with Flow Line Management ensuring tooling readiness to meet production requirements.

Typical responsibilities include:

  •     Drive weekly production meetings to status tool orders and deliveries, to include block change tools, and rate tooling
  •     Tool tracking
  •     Development of training materials related to all tooling actions necessary to support the assembly floor
  •     Participation in tooling audits to ensure proper location is maintained at all times for all assets
  •     Maintain tool control on assembly floor via point of use tooling stations and tables.
  •     Develop management systems and control plans for all calibrated tooling
  •     Develop tool storage location solutions to support the production assembly floor.
  •     Typical cell leader duties, processing time & attendance, management of employee training, etc.

    Education:
  •     BS Degree required
  •     Advanced Degree preferred

    Required Qualifications:
  •     +5 years experience in Assembly Tooling, Manufacturing Engineering or Operations
  •     Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Operations or Business
  •     US Citizen due to government contracts

    Preferred Qualifications:
  •     Prior Supervisory Experience
  •     Work experience in a Union environment
  •     Operations Logistic knowledge
  •     Self-motivated and be able to work independently as well as lead direct reports
  •     Have good analytical, organizational, and communication skills to include upper management
  •     Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  •     SAP experience
  •     Understanding of engine maintenance concepts and the various types of special support tooling
  •     Experience with DocAccess/Teamcenter preferred. Understanding of manufacturing practices, jet engine assembly/disassembly, and maintenance procedures are desirable
