Organization Description :
Our team, Enterprise Capacity, produces powerful insights that drive meaningful conversations, long-range strategies, and decision events regarding the timing of financial capital allocations and equipment deployment for proposed, current, and future PW program demands. To do so, we must be innate communicators who collaborate across organizational boundaries to generate demand versus output capacity insights, publish rate readiness studies, reduce relevant operational risks, enhance cross-functional efficiencies , improve processes, and increase the speed of execution.

The selected candidate will focus on assessing long-range capacity risks in the supply chain network, and lead the adapting/bridging of our insights to produce a never-before-constructed digital value stream perspective. This role gives the candidate a unique opportunity to have regular contact with Pratt & Whitney's Global Supply Chain (including partner companies) organization, module center operations, and external stakeholders. Additionally, this role routinely interfaces with Commercial Engine, Military Engine, and Aftermarket teams.

This role will also have strongly matrixed relationships with Global Supply Chain executive staff.

Candidate profile & role objectives :

The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of interpersonal relationship-building, vision- & strategy-setting, and execution competencies. A solid working knowledge of the processes, practices, and teams that support Global Supply Chain and module center operations conversations/decision events would also be considered ideal.

You will guide and inspire a team of capacity leads who have responsibility for ensuring industrial capacity insights are generated in accordance with standard work to support the entire value stream of operations (PW Purchase, PW Make, and, Partnerships). Additionally, you will develop and maintain a talent pipeline to ensure the organization's successful future.

You will be responsible for the following...

  • Achieve 2019 Enterprise Capacity Portal (ECP) execution schedule completion with the Supplier Development Regional Office team. For calendar year 2019, the schedule targets a very high proportion of 2019 PWA spend across 300+ suppliers.
  • Own the day-to-day management of the schedule, and adhere to ECP execution schedule planning parameters to ensure insight generation and sustainability.
  • Partner with Global Supply Chain, module center operations, and-at times-the offices of various Production Chiefs to calibrate the scheduling of capacity assessments, which will provide game-changing, action-based insights to these audiences.
  • Design initiatives to improve/enhance/benefit the facets of our Pervasive Lean strategy, which target s overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), staff utilization, floor space reduction, value-added ratios, and part travel factor performance indicators.

  • Must be very comfortable teaching, coaching, and mentoring others through volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA) operating environments while deploying wholly new capabilities and executing enterprise-wide strategies.

  • You possess a history/background of leading teams that produce big results spanning manufacturing/operations, supply chain, and/or engineering.

  • Develop/author senior level presentations, and participate in key meetings.

    Additional Information:
  • In-person meetings will be required, particularly for building relationships.  However, this position offers some flexibility to work-from-home.
  • Travel - 20%.

    Required Qualifications:

  • B achelor's Degree in business, supply chain management or project management.

  • 10+ years of experience in Materials Management, Supply Chain, Continuous Improvement.

  • Candidate must be a US citizen due to work with US government programs.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in B usiness, S upply C hain M anage ment or P roject M anagement.

  • 8+ years' experience in Materials Management, Supply Chain ,or Continuous Improvement.

  • Lean Six Sigma training or certification Preferred.

  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office tools and SAP.
