Job Description
We are seeking innovative Mechanical Design Engineers who have strong skills and experience in tool design. You will contribute to planning, design and implementation of all aspects of the tooling and fixtures needed in our high-precision production environment. We are a dynamic, fast-paced, team-based and innovative design environment, and want you to participate in the execution of our company's innovation and commercialization process. This encompasses product development and innovative engineering disciplines; outside-the-box thinking, and hands-on learning.

At Mikro, you will bring creativity, imagination, and determination to envision and execute novel solutions to diverse engineering challenges utilizing advanced 3D CAD techniques such as complex surfacing and large patterning. You will fully document problem statements, observations, conclusions, calculations, and recommendations.
Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
Experience/Qualifications Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
  • US Citizenship required due to government contracts
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with tool and die or tooling production
  • Knowledge of standard manufacturing principles including investment casting, molding, milling, turning, grinding, and EDM.
  • Knowledge of lithographic manufacturing techniques
  • Prior work within tight tolerance requirements and performing tolerance stack-up analyses
  • Basic project management and customer relationship skills
