Job Description
Engineering opportunities in Compressions Systems Engineering at Pratt & Whitney may include a role in one of the following disciplines: Project Engineering, Design, Structures, Composites, or Methods. These roles would involve the following activities: Define the primary flow-path definition within various engine components. Design new hardware and improve existing hardware. Develop and apply new structural materials and complex thermal-mechanical processes. Build finite element models, perform analysis, and determine mission life for the product. Plan, execute, develop and validate (test) the product. Collaborate with other disciplines as part of the Integrated Product Team concept to optimize designs and process for cost, weight, and performance. This position is in Compression Systems Engineering and may be part of the Engineering Development Program at Pratt & Whitney. The Engineering Development Program, or EPD, is a multi-year program for new college hires that has been implemented to: 1) accelerate technical capability through substantive work rotations focused in specific disciplines; and 2) connect EPD participants with a network of technical resources & engineering experts. The EDP offers new employees the opportunity to rotate through assignments in the organization that provide focused classroom training & technical work experiences. Positions may be located in East Hartford or Middletown, CT, West Palm Beach FL, or Lansing, MI

Experience/Qualifications
*Experience/Qualifications Previous Engineering internships preferred.

  • A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering is required.
  • US Citizenship Required.
  • GPA 3.0 required
