In this highly visible role, the employee will drive Industrial elements to support the operations throughout the Value Stream for the 17K/24K programs Common Core.

The Deputy Production Chief will be responsible for ensuring that Common Core requirements for parts & modules are established and supported while also focusing on identifying and mitigating risk to production build requirements in the medium to long term. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: delivery assurance, supply chain sourcing and capacity assessments, ensuring timely transitions execution, driving completion of industrial plans for critical engineering changes and supporting aftermarket requirements for common core parts & modules. As part of the IPMT, the candidate will lead these activities with the coordination and maintenance of the program industrial plan with CIPTs, Module Centers, Partner Companies and Global Supply Chain.  Part improvements will be monitored through a series of Key Process Indicators and standard delivery metrics.

As a key member of the IPMT and working closely with the Customers, Module Centers & Module Assembly Sites, the Deputy Chief will:

o Drive production module delivery plan and execution of this plan to support all 24K programs

o Work closely with P&WC & NB to develop and execute retrofit plans for common core

o Drive forward looking Engineering Change Incorporation Planning for Common Core

o Lead the external customer communications on the common core requirements and delivery execution

An ideal candidate will be high energy, dynamic individual who strives for continuous improvement in various requirements of this role. Superior written and oral communication skills and demonstrated leadership skills required. Ability to meet commitments, balance and resolve conflicting priorities are critical for this role. The candidate is expected to demonstrate a solid understanding of strategic and business implications and works to provide the best P&W solutions. Must have demonstrated experience working with executive level management and external customers as well as leading cross-functional teams.

Basic Qualifications -

  • Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years of experience in Project Management, Industrial Engineering, Technical Product Management, Engineering or Manufacturing.
  • 4+ years of Strategic Leadership
