Job Description:
A position is available in the Military Customer Support & Services Engine Test Systems and Services Engineering group for a Fleet Management / Project Engineer with a focus on F135 development and sustainment activities. The successful candidate will become a member of a dynamic team that has technical responsibility for support equipment for the Pratt & Whitney F135 engine which include supporting all aspects of test cell activities.

Candidate for this assignment will be responsible for but not limited to the following:  

•    Provide direct support for depot standup and follow-on sustainment, provisioning of bases and depots, field inquiries as they relate to F135 engine test cell support equipment and the development of equipment repairs and inspection instructions. 

•    Provide timely technical support to our Field Service Representatives as required and assist with investigations where necessary. 

•    Become involved in the development of new equipment, fit check and testing of new or revised equipment, troubleshooting technical issues with equipment either in the field or during manufacturing and provide overall technical customer support to both internal and external customers and suppliers. Some limited travel will be required. 

•    Maintain open lines of communication with the customer, management and related functional areas to ensure customer satisfaction is maintained on a sustaining basis and that overall customer support and program management goals are met.

•    Candidate must possess strong analytical skills, strong communications skills both written and oral, be able to establish excellent customer relationships, be a self-starter, multi-tasker,  and an effective team participant.

- Candidate may be required to support Project Engineering team with aspects that are not directly related to the Fleet/Project Manager roles and responsibilities.

At least 10% travel

Education/Certifications:

Candidate must have a Bachelorâ€s Degree.

Experiences / Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 4 years of experience either in jet aircraft engine maintenance, or test cell installation or maintenance.
  • US Citizenship required due to Federal Contracts


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated knowledge/experience with military aircraft/engine maintenance hardware and procedures.
  • Previous "hands on" experience with regard to the installation and/or maintenance of engine Test Cell.
  • PMP or other project management certification advantageous
  • Technical writing skills a plus.
  • Experience using MS Office Suite products; to include Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook
  • Capable of working directly with suppliers, customers and different levels of management.
  • Demonstrated communications and teaming skills required.
  • Potential exists for moderate domestic/international travel in support of customer requirements.
