This particular role will focus on an integrated and collaborative approach to industrial readiness of material support for the Aftermarket network.  As a member of this team, you will support the development of the aftermarket integrated materials management strategies for critical hardware families in support of OCE / V2500 programs.  P&W Commercial Aftermarket is implementing the Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Partnership (MROP) organization to manage the Aftermarket of all programs across a multi-enterprise network of shops. This role will require robust communication, cross-functional alignment, material strategies and solutions to efficiently and effectively manage the needs of our customers.

A key role in the Commercial Engines Aftermarket organization, the Spring Co-op will assist and lead a wide range of project solutions for the Commercial Spares & Material Solutions†organization supporting Aftermarket Operations (AMO).  The co-op will be at the forefront of the customer experience, ensuring a successful and timely material support of our customer and aftermarket network. 

Below are critical deliverables:

  • Use data analytics tools and techniques including data based decision making experience for material gap identification and delivery performance improvement initiatives
  • Support the retrieval, analysis, and publication of data necessary to support the Integrated Material Solutions team
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining reports as well as identifying trends to support data driven solutions
  • The key to success in this co-op will be identifying and developing ways to automate and improve up our current data gathering, analysis and reporting methods/systems
  • Develop, manage, and update Line of balance material tracking status with Microsoft Office products
  • Taking direction to develop, implement and track metrics to achieve organizational objectives
  • Use SAP, Qlik, and other systems along with Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to track and manage material delivery health, mitigation, and recovery plans
  • Regularly interact with cross-teams to effectively to successfully document and manage material recovery efforts
  • Assist with ensuring identification and mitigation of material constraints and project management execution of solutions to fully support MRO requirements
  • Assist with project management of cross-functional teams to drive timely repair development, inspection & limit allowances, determine “What Can Be Done” and drive those solutions to full implementation
  • Collaborate with key support functions on critical project initiatives, including MRO Shops, Industrial, Customer Technical Services, CIPT, Demand Planning, Delivery Assurance, CSA, Operations, and Engine Services
  • Develop and track key metrics specifically focused on fleet risk parts including mitigation activities
  • Support regular status reviews with Aftermarket Leadership, AIPT and IPMT
  • Participate in weekly cross functional reviews with CIPT to status on-going issues and identification of Aftermarket focused solutions
  • Coordinate across multiple functions (operations, customer service, quality, engineering, etc.) to understand needs, develops solutions, and track performance on a daily / weekly basis
  • Present data based analysis, findings, recommendations (including mitigating activities), and status to the extended cross-functional team members


Do you meet these Basic Qualifications?
  • US Citizenship or a US Person is required due to government contracts
  • Pursuing B.A./B.S. degree required
  • Fields of study: Operations related fields; Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, Quality or Manufacturing strongly preferred
  • You are graduating between D ecember 2020 to May 2023
  • You will have at least 30 credits prior to starting your internship
  • You have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
