The principle duties of this position are to perform all activities associated with the disassembly, inspection and assembly of Gear Turbo Fan Engines. This position requires practical application of technical knowledge and strong numerical and reading skills to interpret complex work instructions. Excellent interpersonal, planning and organizational skills are needed for a team oriented environment.
Duties:

  • Engine disassembly/assembly - perform mechanic duties to disassemble and assemble engines, engine sections and accessories.
  • Clean - perform cleaning of engine parts and components.
  • Perform visual checks to assess minimal part condition for continued use where applicable. Understand the basic inspection techniques as a part of a career development path.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the EH&S and continuous improvement programs by complying with all policies and procedures, completing all required training, and supporting all applicable committee activities.
  • SAP familiarity.
  • Ability to manage tools and tooling to ensure serviceability before and after use and process appropriately when issues arise.

Education / Certifications
  • High school diploma or GED
Basic Qualifications:
  • High school graduate or GED
  • U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Person
  • A&P License or two years aviation, aerospace and/or previous mechanical experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Turbine engine overhaul and repair experience, preferred in one or more of the following disciplines: Disassembly, Inspection, Assembly.
  • Completed ACE Basics and have created an ACE profile (internal candidates)
  • Ability to identify and resolve configuration and compatibility issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP or MES
  • Must be able to work all shift
