We are looking for a dynamic Quality Manager to manage the overall quality organization at HMI in Clayville, NY.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure training as it relates to quality requirements both within quality and throughout organization
  • Lead and Manage overall quality performance for HMI organization to meet customer demand
  • Analyze data and make recommendations to production based on results
  • Work with internal and external customers
  • Ensure that proper release raw materials for production use by supervisors
  • Understand and lead all aspects of of Production delivery schedules
  • Responsible for compliance to AS9100 and ASQR01
  • Responsible to ensure compliance regarding performing periodic internal audits to ensure quality standards & continuous improvement
  • Coordination with Process Engineering/Technical Manager regularly to understand material acceptance based on specifications
  • Prepare and deliver Monthly, quarterly and adhoc requested quality reports
  • Enter test data into various databases
  • Assist in developing standard work for all areas related to quality
  • Perform Continuous Improvement initiatives, ensuring ACE (Achieving Competitive Excellence) initiatives and QCPC is driven to improve processes
  • May be required to carry out tasks not specifically listed within the scope and skill level of this position in support of department objectives and to develop one's skills
  • Support an Ethics driven culture
  • Ensure calibration requirements are met and maintained
  • Adhere to ACE guidelines and perform ACE duties as required
  • Adhere to all EH&S guidelines, including wearing of required personal protective equipment
  • Active participation on internal ESA Powder Team
  • Will need to work overtime when required, lift up to 25 lbs, and pass visual exam in accordance with P&W ASQR01
  • May be required to obtain SQA and MCL certification
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelorâ€s Degree and 8+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, quality, and/or aerospace OR Masterâ€s Degree and 5+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, quality, and/or aerospace
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Organization/project management, leadership skills to motivate, develop & positively encourage your team
  • Outstanding Interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
  • High degree of computer proficiency
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Detail oriented, data driven, and excellent decision making skills
  • Working with alloy powder a plus
  • Ability to meet commitments, balance and resolve conflicting priorities
  • High energy, dynamic individual who strives for continuous improvement
  • Results focused work ethic to problem solve in a timely manner
