The Real-time Test Systems Software group produces applications which automate and track engine testing procedures. Interfacing with a wide array of test hardware, the core mission is to improve automation, data collection, and analytical capabilities of Pratt & Whitney.
We are seeking a creative and driven software engineer to construct solutions for the development and production testing of aerospace systems. In this role, you will work alongside test engineers to develop programs which will interface between the engine, test stand hardware, and the data acquisition systems. Ideally, you will be inventive, enjoy playing with computers, be a problem solver, and interested in figuring out new systems.
Teamwork and interpersonal skills are critical to the production and support of the software product. You should be flexible in support of a rapidly evolving environment where requirements can change as field/customer support is required.
- Currently have or working towards degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent disciplines.
- Demonstrated programming skills.
- You're in an accredited undergraduate or graduate engineering degree program.
- You will have at least 30 credits prior to starting your internship
- You have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Experience with C/C++, GUI development with GTK or QT.
- Basic understanding of software engineering life cycle, RTOS, & Data Acquisition Systems
- Linux experience
