We demand quality in all we do, this is part of our success in the Aerospace Industry. As the M&A Manager, you will be involved in various aspects of Pratt & Whitney's Group Strategy efforts. These efforts are broadly divided into a) strategic transaction activity including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, equity investments and alliances, and divestitures; and b) group strategic analysis ensuring that the company is well positioned to establish and sustain high-reaching advantage in its markets and deliver benefited services to its customers and required financial returns to the shareholders.

This Manager role is an Individual Contributor role and will not have any direct reports.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited, to:

  • Your primary responsibility is to conduct preliminary and detailed financial modeling, valuation analysis (discounted cash flows, comparable companies analysis, etc.), and financial statement analysis
  • As deals progress, you will also be responsible for coordination of due diligence activities, preparation of briefing materials for internal and external leadership audiences, and preparation of corporate acquisition request
  • Your work will also include a strategy component â€" researching company profiles, conducting target identification and evaluation, competitive analysis, market assessments, industry analysis and portfolio evaluations
  • You will be part of a team of analysts supporting M&A activity, and interact with many other internal stakeholders such as FP&A, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Operations, Legal, HR and all P&W business units
  • You will need some flexibility for minimal travel (travel requirement is project based, ~10%)
    Do you meet the Basic Qualifications?
  • Bachelorâ€s Degree required
  • 4+ years Finance, M&A, or Consulting experience required
  • US Citizen required due to government program requirements
    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance (preferred), Accounting, Economics or an MBA
  • Aerospace or Industrial Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Financial valuation methods and proficiency in finance and business modeling
  • Strong understanding of financial statements
  • Excellent problem solving skills; dedicated and solution oriented
  • Analytical and deduction skills, scenario planning abilities
  • Organizational and time management skills with close attention to detail
  • Initiative, creativity, strong written and verbal skills
  • Experience in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Experience in executing strategic transactions
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Creative troubleshooting skills
  • Possess excellent judgment and professional maturity
  • Multi-tasking abilities, client focused, adaptive, and proficient at working effectively in a time sensitive and dynamic environment
