F135, Site Lead/Field Service Representative, Eielson AFB, AK

Pratt & Whitney (P&W) Military Engines F135 Fleet Operations is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Supervisor with strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to lead the P&W Team at Eielson AFB, AK, as a Field Service Representative (FSR). This position is a customer facing role in a high visibility and cross functional environment.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • You will work closely with internal P&W teams (Customer Support Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Center, ALIS teams) to assist the unit in troubleshooting and resolution of emerging customer issues and maintain flexibility to resolve constantly changing customer priorities
  • Use self-initiative and judgment to identify problems, conduct investigations to determine root cause, and coordinate solutions between P&W, the Joint Strike Fighter Program Office, and Lockheed Martin. Representative will be responsible for coordinating field issues with P&W Site Manager, Engineering, and Logistics Program Management
  • You will develop and train their team of FSRs to reach their career growth potential and effectiveness, drive engagement within the team
  • Plan, organize, coordinate, assign, and evaluate work of assigned staff, providing guidance and direction. Provide 1:1 performance feedback
  • Ensure employees follow all UTC policies and procedures
  • Partner with Leadership and Human Resources to manage employee relations
  • Recognize and reward team members for their contributions
  • Use initiative and judgment to identify problems, conduct investigations to determine root causes, and implement corrective actions -Support F-35A/F135 operations to include, systems, tooling, material, and processes
  • The FSR will have hands-on interaction with the engine (software and hardware), aircraft, and squadron personnel
  • Ensure comprehensive reporting on support activities including aircraft and engine status, flight reports, operational data, engine configuration status and parts consumption
  • Comply with Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S) requirements and participate in Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) initiatives
  • Ability to travel for extended periods of time to support customer deployments, Domestic and International Travel and part of the team concept
  • Must have the ability to rotate first and second shift schedules as required to meet customer support and team objectives

Do you have the experience to join our team?

  • BS/BA degree required in engineering or technical field. Non-technical degrees will be considered if the candidate has appropriate/related field service experience

  • 7+ years of professional experience in engine/aircraft maintenance, logistics, and logistics support is required
  • US Citizenship required due to government contracts
  • You will possess a US Govt. Secret Clearance or have the ability to secure one for position requirements. Candidates that have had a clearance that has recently lapsed (not more than 2 years), may apply for consideration

Or these Preferred Qualifications?
  • Background in ITAR/ITC is desired for this assignment.
  • We'd like you to have supply chain management and Support Equipment management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
