Responsibilities:

  • Process ownership for various manufacturing processes;
  • New product and process development;
  • Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions on non-conforming product;
  • Use statistical analysis tools for problem solving;
  • Use Mikroâ€s tooling technology to drive down manufacturing costs;
  • Participate in the companyâ€s Quality Management system;
  • Communicate with suppliers and customers as assigned;
  • Support the Environmental, Health, and Safety programs by developing and implementing engineering controls
  • Competency in the use of Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to independently analyze and achieve problem resolution using standard engineering techniques
  • Proficiency with industry standard GD&T practices
  • The discipline and follow-through to fully document problem statements, observations, conclusions, calculations and recommendations
  • Ability to handle export-controlled materials
Expertise in the following areas:
  • CAD software;
  • Root cause analysis principles and tools
  • Standard manufacturing principles such as milling, turning, grinding and EDM
  • Design for manufacturability concepts, specifically within tooling design
  • Project management
Basic Qualifications
  • BS Degree
  • 5 years of on-the-job engineering experience in the manufacturing industry
Preferred Qualifications:
  • BS Degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Material Science
  • MS Degree in Engineering discipline or Material Science
  • Professional Engineering Certification (PE)
  • Experience with Ceramics, Silicone, Epoxies and Casting Processes
  • Ability to work in a team environment
