Turbine Aerodynamics overview:
The Pratt & Whitney Engineering organization is focused on delivering customer requirements, advancing market-differentiating technologies, leading continuous improvement and developing technical leadership.
The Turbine Aerodynamics group at Pratt & Whitney is responsible for the aerodynamic design and analysis of the turbine section of the engine. Close collaboration with system as well as part-level disciplines is required to successfully optimize the turbine design. Evaluation of experimental cascade, rig and engine data is conducted to validate predictions, mature technology and identify performance improvement opportunities.
Key projects & responsibilities:
- Turbine aerodynamic design using 1D, 2D and 3D design and analytical tools
- Complex CFD analysis of multi-row turbine designs
- Comparison of analytical and experimental results, development of innovative aerodynamic technology and design processes to increase product performance
Do you meet these Basic Qualifications?
- You're in an accredited undergraduate or graduate engineering degree program.
- Fields of study: Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering
- You will have at least 30 credits prior to starting your internship
- You have a GPA of 3.0 or higher

- Exceptional interpersonal skills and consistent record of collaboration, flexibility, innovation and initiative
- You have a real passion for learning and pursuing a career in the aerospace industry
- Methodical problem solving skills
