The Global Supply Chain team works closely with suppliers across the world to ensure we deliver affordable, high-quality parts that meet our customer's dynamic needs. Our team cultivates an internal environment that flourishes with the utilization of the UTC ACE operating system while leading supplier relationships to ensure they meet our quality and performance standards. We are looking for a candidate with strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to work in a challenging environment. The candidate should be able to provide a high level of customer focus while meeting business objectives.
This position will support Distributed Hardware and requires outstanding problem-solving skills & will build efficient working relationships across the many P&W functional groups; Quality, Materials, Continuous Improvement, Production Readiness, Engineering, MCL, ESA, Global Work Share (GWS) and multiple suppliers. Delighting customers is a must by providing timely and accurate updates via the most desired communication means.
The Account Specialist is responsible for supplier relationships, including delivery, quality, and cost, inventory, and customer satisfaction. You will lead all aspects of purchase order execution and product delivery, ensuring placement of timely schedule agreements, billing adjustments, terminations mitigation & cost reduction goals execution. The role must align with all aspects of the P&W Procurement Manual, GSC Standard Work, UTC Code of Ethics, International Trade Compliance, & Transition Standard Work (TSW).
Additional responsibilities will include close coordination with New Program Integration (NPI) / Development Procurement, Global Transitions, Commodity Management, and Production Readiness to efficiently transition NGPF hardware from development into full production as well as the resolution of production and quality issues on key military programs. The role also offers the opportunity to engage with the meaningful Strategic Sourcing team and participate in long-term sourcing decisions.
Require the long-distance interaction with Regional Office personnel such as Delivery Assurance Specialists, Supplier Quality Assurance Representatives (SQARâ€s), MCL, ESA, Continuous Improvement Specialists, & the GWS â€Buyers & Plannersâ€ providing procurement & materials management for the commodities. Be responsible to ensure GWSâ€s quotation, cost analysis/price justification, market share appropriations, & placement of schedule agreements are completed on-time & in compliance with all appropriate regulations & procedures.
Foster active daily use of the ACE operating system through ACE tool usage to improve EH&S, quality, delivery, financial, and employee engagement. Actively drive Supplier Gold by participating in supplier improvement activities, & Critical Supplier Reviews (CSRâ€s).
Basic Qualifications -
- Bachelorâ€s Degree with 7+ years of Supply Management and/or Operations experience, or a Master's Degree with 5+ years of Supply Management and/or Operations experience.
- US Citizenship is required due to government contracts.
