Pratt & Whitney is seeking an experienced, proactive, and goal oriented professional to lead deployment of the ACE operating system within key operational organizations. The ACE operating system is Pratt & Whitney's continuous improvement program to dramatically improve the company's quality and delivery signature using Lean Six Sigma methodologies. Key areas of responsibility will include:

  • ACE Strategy - Set the strategy & lead initiatives that deliver the strategy (Policy Deployment, Pervasive Lean, Agile Value Stream, and SIOP)
  • ACE Operating System - Management, implementation, governance, and certification in accordance with the ACE operating system and criteria
  • Mentor & Coaching - Assist the business and team through the ACE journey
  • ACE proficiency - Ensure appropriate levels are defined and achieved
  • Operations Excellence (OpX) - alignment & integration
  • ACE and OpX Events - Value Stream & Kaizen project and program leadership, management, and implementation


The Continuous Improvement professional will be responsible for assisting the organization in developing a vision, strategy, roadmap and supporting infrastructure for the integration of data driven decision making and Lean Six Sigma methods into daily business practices across all operations, engineering, quality, and business functions.

Develop the organization's employees by coaching, mentoring and coordinate execution of required training - ACE Associate, Practitioner, and Master (Six Sigma Green, Black, and Master Black Belts as well as those pursuing Lean Certification)

Work with senior management project champions to: Support the project pipeline process to select, prioritize and scope projects to business objectives, integrated with other continuous improvement activities and ACE initiatives.

Schedule, facilitate, and manage periodic project reviews, and ensure sign off on Formal Gate reviews.

Identify gaps in project execution and engage appropriate resources to address either knowledge gaps or execution gaps to ensure projects deliver intended results.

Lead significant projects critical to the supporting organization, as needed

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Advanced ACE and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification progress
  • US Citizen required due to government contract
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA
  • 10+ years of Program/Project Mgmt, Ops, Engr, Quality or similar experience.
  • Demonstrated ProCert/Six Sigma project leadership/management/coaching experience.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency leading and managing a large portfolio of cross functional projects and teams
  • Capable of influencing and getting cooperation and action from others.
  • Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) and craft clear communications and presentations
  • Effective team player, good mentoring skills and can develop other co-workers.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS office computer software
  • Able to use Minitab and other statistical software.
