Job Description
Hot Section Engineering Advanced Methods group develops, deploys, and supports game-changing design tools and processes. These enable Pratt & Whitney to continually open up the boundaries in state of the art gas turbine engine technology. You will collaborate and coordinate with methods groups across several disciplines at Pratt & Whitney.

You will work with on projects involving parametric modeling and NX automation, including the development, maintenance, and support of both new and legacy CAD automation tools in the NX environment. In addition, you will help drive the proficiency advancement of parametric CAD modeling inside Hot Section Engineering by working to develop standard methodologies for modeling and drive their usage within the organization.
Education/Certifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or a similar engineering field required.

Dual or advanced degrees which include computer science or software engineering preferred.
Experience/Qualifications: Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or a similar engineering field
  • 2+ years of experience in an engineering role
  • Experience with Unigraphics NX (or equivalent CAD package) modeling
  • Programming within an object oriented language such as Java, C++, or Python
Preferred Qualifcations
  • 4+ years of experience in an engineering field
  • Programming with the NXOpen API or other CAD software API
  • Prior experience with airfoil modeling techniques
  • Strong writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work within a team
  • Able to work in an export controlled environment.
