Pratt and Whitney, a recognized leading producer of the world's most advanced commercial and military turbine engines, is seeking talented engineers to join our organization within Pratt and Whitney's Project Engineering discipline during the summer of 2018. Intern level project engineers will be a value members of an integrated project team (IPT), made up of designers, structures engineers, product modeling and drawing staff, and systems analysts. The IPTs are tasked with sustaining fielded engines through product deficiency investigations and developing product enhancements. The IPTs will also resolve manufacturing issues in the support of new engine production. This position is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of disciplines within engineering. Individually, the intern level project engineer will be tasked with project management activities such as budget and schedule planning, IPT team meeting coordination, project qualification testing, and hardware procurement coordination. The candidate will work in a multi-disciplinary team, execute engineering standard work, and drive tasks to meet program milestones. This is a unique opportunity for an college graduate or emerging professional to work on the best engines in the world

Level of responsibility includes:

  • Responsible for small projects or multiple tasks within functional discipline.
  • Makes contribution to the team through their knowledge.
  • Works with moderate guidance on projects.
  • Has solid understanding of the fundamentals of the discipline and role

Candidates should be pursuing a BS or MS degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum GPA of 3.0| 1-3 years of related engineering experienced preferred.
