Global Services Engineering (GSE) located in East Hartford Connecticut, is looking for a methods intern for a newly created Methods group. A successfully candidate will be an energetic and dedicated individual with leadership characteristics and demonstrated successful performance in managing complex tasks and dynamic teams. The Methods group in GSE is responsible for the development, deployment, and support of game-changing repair design tools, technical data processes, and business processes. These tools enable Pratt & Whitney to continually push the state of the art in gas turbine engine repairs and reduce the cost of maintaining our parts, components, and engines. The primary focus of this group is for GSE, but requires coordination and collaboration with other methods groups within Pratt & Whitney. This position requires experience with engineering analytical tool and process development aspects including programming, maintenance, and/or support. In addition, qualified candidates will have experience with engineering design practice, particularly with regard to the role that analytical tool improvements play in the design of repairs for high-performance machines.

Do you meet these Basic Qualifications?

  • US Citizenship is required due to government contracts .
  • You're in an accredited undergraduate or graduate engineering degree program.
  • Fields of study: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechanical, Aeronautical Engineering, or related Engineering degree required
  • You will have at least 30 credits prior to starting your internship
  • You have a GPA of 3.0 or higher

How about any of these Preferred Qualifications?
  • Minimum of 1 years of engineering college work required. Significant experience with engineering tool or process development and support is preferred. - Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills are required.
  • Demonstrated teaming skills and the ability to work with all levels of management, personnel, suppliers, and customers.
